We are currently meeting at a park in Mesa, located on 8th Avenue and Extension Road. The cost of $80 per 8 week class is on a per dog basis. We will be meeting one hour per week. Positive dog training techniques
Sarah is the dog trainer for The Working Dog. She has been training dogs for over 16 years from 4-H as a youth, to the therapy dogs she owns today. Her entire life has always been centered around dogs. Sarah has worked with dogs from the show ring, and volunteering at the Humane Society, to being an ER Veterinary Assistant and raising working dogs. You are encourage to sit in on one of The Working Dog training classes prior to signing up to see Sarah's ability to communicate with and train all dogs.
We certainly do offer “bully breed” training though we do not work with "bite dogs".

Puppy Education

Intermediate Education
This course will help further develop your dog's ability to learn behaviors involving more distance, duration and distractions.

Prerequisite: puppy or beginner education, or comparable skill level.

Brief review of basic cues
Obedience such as stay from a distance
Learning despite distractions
Relationship-forming games
Additional cues (heel, stand and more)
Advanced Education
This course will help strengthen your dog's reliability in every situation.
Graduation degree earned.
Course length: 6 weeks.
Prerequisite: intermediate education or comparable skill level.

Sit politely for petting
Advanced loose leash walking and heeling
Specialized games to build reliability
Learning with increased distractions
AKC Canine Good Citizen Class
The American Kennel Club's CGC Class is designed to prepare you to take the Canine Good Citizen test as well as improve on commands you've already learned. Lessons include the importance of greeting a friendly stranger, walking through a crowd, ignoring distractions and more. AKC certified evaluators administer the AKC CGC test on a regular basis. This class is $110 for 8 weeks to perfect all that your pet has worked so hard to master.
